SOFRA Guide: Dubai with Raquel

SOFRA Guide: Dubai with Raquel

I went on the hunt for unique and exciting dining experiences. So when I heard about the tableware at some of Dubai's best fine dining restaurants, I knew I had to check them out for myself. Here are my top five favorite spots for not only the food but also the stunning tableware.

First up, Nobu Dubai. The restaurant's modern aesthetic is evident from the moment I walk in, and the tableware is no exception. The porcelain plates from Nikko are the perfect match for the expertly crafted dishes. The simple, minimalist aesthetic of the tableware perfectly complements the modern decor of the restaurant.

Next, La Petite Maison. The porcelain plates and bowls from Bernardaud are the epitome of sophistication, with a delicate scalloped edge that adds a touch of elegance to every dish. The table setting exudes a sense of refined luxury, making me feel like royalty as I enjoyed my meal.

Moving on to Hakkasan Dubai, the tableware is a true reflection of the restaurant's opulence. The intricate patterns and textures of the Jars ceramics add an extra layer of sophistication to every dish, and the combination of textures and glazes create a stunning visual effect.

Zuma Dubai is a standout among the restaurants I've visited, with its black stoneware plates from Kihara. The tactile and organic feel of the plates make them a perfect match for the innovative sushi and sashimi dishes. The contrast between the black plates and the bright colors of the sushi is simply breathtaking.

Last but certainly not least, Jean-Georges Dubai. The simple yet sophisticated white porcelain plates from Villeroy & Boch are the perfect complement to the elegant and refined dishes served at this fine dining restaurant. The subtle texture and slight rim of the plates elevate the dining experience and make me feel like I'm dining in a Michelin-starred establishment.

In conclusion, the tableware at these five Dubai-based fine dining restaurants is just as impressive as the food they serve. Each restaurant offers a unique aesthetic that reflects its cuisine and atmosphere. From minimalist porcelain plates to intricate artisanal ceramics, the tableware is sure to leave a lasting impression on any diner.
