Sicily Vase

Gather makes glass for bold, joyful gatherings, marrying contemporary colour and traditional craftsmanship. Every piece is designed by Phoebe Stubbs and handmade by her and her talented team of glass artisans in Gather’s hot glass London studio.

This Sicily Vase is a fun interpretation of the Trinacria, a symbol that represents the Italian island. The curvy layers of handles on the slim neck imitate the Medusa-inspired emblem. The round and plump shape is achieved by blowing vivid hues of glass, and then attaching each unique hand-crafted handle. The vase features a lively yellow color, reminiscent of the scorching heat of the Mediterranean in Italy.
